Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage reservation schedules, and seat customers efficiently using restaurant table management systems.
• Assist with guest check-in and seating arrangements, ensuring smooth flow during busy hours.
• Take accurate takeout orders via phone or online platforms, confirming details and special requests with clarity and professionalism.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff and food runners to ensure timely delivery of orders while maintaining food safety standards.
• Manage phone communication with courteous phone etiquette, answering inquiries about menu items, reservations, and wait times.
• Maintain organized dining areas and waiting lists, utilizing Toast POS for order processing and guest billing.
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Experience

• Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated newcomers eager to learn.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management and restaurant table management systems is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently are essential for success in this role.
• Basic math skills are necessary for accurate order entry and billing procedures.
• Knowledge of Toast POS enhances your ability to perform transactions smoothly.
• Experience in guest services or customer relations will help you excel at creating positive dining experiences.
