Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with placing their orders in person or via POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Accurately input orders into the register, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated to kitchen staff.
• Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments with precision, providing correct change and receipts.
• Check customers out quickly while maintaining excellent customer service standards, upselling menu items when appropriate.
• Manage food handling procedures, including food safety practices, sanitation, and proper food presentation during order fulfillment.
• Support food preparation tasks when needed to ensure timely service during busy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness of the cashier station, dining area, and food prep zones while adhering to sanitation regulations.
• Assist with bussing tables and supporting kitchen staff to create a seamless food service experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are essential.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed.
• Strong math skills for cash handling, making change, and basic restaurant math calculations.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor that encourages repeat visits.
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of food preparation processes and kitchen operations is beneficial but not mandatory.
