Talent & People Development Manager

Ideal Medical Solutions (IMS) is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we're looking for an ambitious Talent & People Development Manager to help shape our future. This is not a traditional HR role. We already partner with specialist HR and employment law advisers. Instead, we're seeking a commercially minded, hands-on professional who can attract exceptional talent, develop our people, and strengthen the culture that has been central to our success.

What You'll Do

✅ Build a direct recruitment strategy that reduces agency dependency through sourcing, talent pipelines, headhunting, referrals and employer branding.

✅ Create and launch the IMS Academy , providing structured onboarding, skills development, leadership programmes, competency frameworks and career pathways.

✅ Partner with managers to improve recruitment, onboarding, performance conversations and succession planning.

✅ Embed our culture across the employee lifecycle, ensuring we continue to recruit, develop and promote people who strengthen IMS.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who has:

Essential

• Proven talent acquisition and direct sourcing experience
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence senior leaders
• A practical, commercially focused approach
• A self starter - a proactive, “can do” mentality
• A passion for building high-performing teams and cultures

Desirable

• A track record of reducing agency reliance without compromising quality
• Experience in learning & development, onboarding and talent programmes
• Working in a standalone recruitment/people-focussed role where there’s been little HR infrastructure, systems and processes in place – you will be the only employed HR/talent professional.
• ·Healthcare, medical device, life sciences or field sales experience.

. Our working hours are 9-5.30 Monday to Thursday, with a 4pm finish on Fridays. We’re ideally looking for someone who will work from the Leatherhead office full time but can offer a degree of flexibility for the right person.
