challenge of hard-to-fill markets and knows that the best recruiting happens before a job ever opens.

Rate: $20.00 – $24.00/hour

Role Expectations

• Full-Cycle Field Recruiting: Manage the hiring process from start to finish for skilled trades and field roles, including job postings, sourcing, phone screens, coordinating interviews with field leadership, and extending offers.
• Pipeline Building in Hard-to-Fill Markets: Build relationships with trade schools, career and technical education programs, community colleges, apprenticeship and workforce organizations, andveterans' programs. Maintain a bench of pre-screened candidates so we're readywhen projects need people.
• Candidate Screening: Verify trade experience, certifications, and licenses. Our crews travel from job to job within a regional area of their state, so you'll clearly explain travel expectations and pay practices and confirm candidates are comfortable with the work before an offer is made.
• Job Advertising: Write and post job ads on job boards, trade-specific sites, and social media, and manage sponsored postings. Make sure every posting includes pay ranges where state law requires it.
• Employee Referrals: Promote RSC's employee referral program with field crews and track referred candidates through the process.
• Office & Administrative Hiring: Assist in recruiting for office and administrative roles, and support the Director of Talent.
• Hiring Manager Partnership: Hold intake meetings with managers to understand staffing needs, project timelines, and what a great hire looks like for each role.
• Pre-Employment & Handoff: Coordinate background checks and drug screens, then hand new hires off smoothly to the onboarding team for the 4-day remote field orientation.
• New Hire Check-Ins: Check in with new hires at 30, 60, and 90 days, and use what you learn to improve both recruiting and onboarding.
• Metrics & Data: Keep candidate records accurate in UKG and report on time-to-fill, source effectiveness, offer acceptance, and 90-day retention.
• Recruiting Events: Attend job fairs, school visits, and community hiring events. Some minimal travel may be required.

Preferred Experience / Education

• 2–4 years of recruiting experience, ideally in high-volume or skilled trades hiring.
• Experience recruiting for construction, mechanical, or other field-based roles is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in a business- or people-focused field, or equivalent recruiting experience.

Qualifications

• Confident, persuasive phone presence and a persistent, proactive approach to sourcing
• Strong organization and the ability to manage many open positions across multiple markets
• Experience with LinkedIn, Indeed, and other sourcing tools
• Experience with UKG or a similar HRIS/ATS is preferred
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to travel occasionally for recruiting events
