Job Summary

Shyam Metalics & Energy Ltd. is looking for an experienced Tally Executive to join our Accounts & Finance team at our Taratala, Kolkata office. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day accounting entries in Tally, maintaining books of accounts, preparing MIS reports and supporting routine accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting entries in Tally ERP/Tally Prime.
• Handle Purchase, Sales, Receipt, Payment and Journal entries.
• Maintain and update ledgers, vouchers and accounting records.
• Verify bills, invoices and supporting documents before accounting entries.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports.
• Maintain and update Accounts-related MIS and management reports.
• Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts.
• Identify discrepancies in accounting records and coordinate for rectification.
• Maintain proper documentation and records of accounting transactions.
• Coordinate with internal departments for invoices, bills and accounting documents.
• Assist the Accounts team during monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Provide accounting data and reports to seniors/management as required.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in Tally ERP / Tally Prime.
• Strong knowledge of Accounting & Bookkeeping.
• Good knowledge of Journal, Purchase, Sales, Receipt and Payment entries.
• Experience in MIS Reporting.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
• Knowledge of Ledger & Bank Reconciliation.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

• 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in Accounts.
• Candidates with strong hands-on experience in Tally and MIS reporting will be preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/steel industry will be an added advantage.
• Candidates should be comfortable working from the Taratala, Kolkata office.

Educational Qualification

B.Com / M.Com or equivalent qualification in Commerce/Accounting.
