What they need

Front of House | Pour Taproom

This isn’t your typical server job.

At Pour Taproom, our guests don’t spend their entire visit waiting for someone to take their drink order. They explore our self-pour tap wall, discover new craft beers, order through technology, enjoy great food, watch the game, attend events, and hang out with friends.

That means we need something different from a traditional waiter.

We need Taproom Experience Guides.

What You’ll Do

Your job is simple: Own the guest experience in your section.

Think of yourself as part server, part concierge, part craft-beer guide, and part host. You’ll be responsible for making sure every guest feels welcomed, understands how Pour works, gets what they need, and leaves wanting to come back.

You'll:

  • Greet guests with energy and make them feel genuinely welcome.
  • Serve as the concierge for your section, checking in regularly and anticipating what guests need.
  • Explain our self-pour tap wall and help first-time guests feel comfortable using it.
  • Help guests navigate our ordering technology and barcode ordering process.
  • Talk about our craft beer selection and help guests discover something they’ll enjoy.
  • Answer questions about the menu, tap wall, events, specials, and how Pour works.
  • Take food and beverage orders when needed and accurately operate the POS.
  • Run food and drinks and make sure orders reach guests quickly.
  • Check on guests throughout their visit—not because there's a required script, but because you genuinely care about their experience.
  • Notice when someone looks confused, needs another drink, is missing something, or simply needs some attention—and take care of it.
  • Help create the energy during sporting events, private events, live entertainment, and busy nights.
  • Work alongside the rest of the team rather than staying confined to one traditional "server" role.
  • Complete assigned opening, closing, cleaning, stocking, and side-work responsibilities.
  • Keep guest areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for the next group.
  • Jump in wherever needed. Great hospitality is a team sport.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people-first extroverts.

You don't necessarily need years of traditional serving experience. In fact, being great at a traditional restaurant doesn't automatically mean you'll be great at Pour.

We want people who:

  • Love people. You genuinely enjoy meeting strangers and making them feel welcome.
  • Have an outgoing, approachable personality and aren't afraid to start a conversation.
  • Understand that hospitality is more than delivering food—it’s making people feel taken care of.
  • Are comfortable learning and explaining technology.
  • Can read a room and recognize when a guest needs help without waiting to be asked.
  • Enjoy craft beer, food, sports, events, and a high-energy environment.
  • Can confidently manage multiple guests and priorities at once.
  • Take ownership instead of saying, "That's not my section" or "That's not my job."
  • Are dependable, positive, coachable, and willing to work as part of a team.
  • Understand that cleaning, stocking, resetting, and side work are part of providing a great guest experience.
  • Want to have fun at work while still taking hospitality seriously.

Yes, You'll Still Do "Server Stuff"

You'll run food. You'll take some orders. You'll use a POS. You'll clear tables. You'll stock, clean, reset, and complete side work.

But those tasks aren't the heart of the job.

The heart of the job is people.

Our technology handles some of the things a traditional server would normally do. That gives you more opportunity to focus on something technology can't replace: human connection and unforgettable hospitality.

Compensation

This is a tipped Front of House position, with earning potential driven by the guest experience and overall business volume.

Because Pour operates differently from a traditional restaurant, our team works together to create the experience rather than operating as isolated servers competing for tables.

What Success Looks Like

A great Guest Experience Guide doesn't just ask, "Do you need anything?"

They already noticed.

They see the first-time guest staring at the tap wall and walk over to help. They remember what someone was drinking. They explain the ordering process before it becomes confusing. They celebrate with the birthday group. They know what's happening in the building that night. They keep their section clean without being told.

Most importantly, they make people feel like they're glad they came to Pour.

If you're outgoing, love people, enjoy a fast-paced environment, and believe going out should be an experience—not just a transaction—we'd love to meet you.
