In this role, you will:

To succeed as a Targeted Practitioner, you should have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in Children’s Social Care, Early Help Services, or Customer Services, with a focus on direct service delivery.
  • A good general education, ideally to NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance affecting children and families.
  • A full driving licence (unless registered disabled).

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Show a willingness to work flexibly, including outside core hours when necessary.
  • Are proactive in seeking ways to improve services and outcomes for children and families.

At Nottinghamshire County Council, we offer:

  • A place to belong: a friendly, inclusive workplace where everyone is valued.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continuous learning.
  • A supportive environment that prioritises your well-being and work-life balance.
  • Generous leave entitlements and flexible working arrangements.
