Job description:
Task Force Hotel General Manager
Rimrock Hospitality is seeking an experienced, adaptable, and highly motivated Task Force Hotel General Manager to provide operational leadership and support across our growing hotel portfolio. This is a highly travel-intensive position, with approximately 90% travel required, and is ideal for a hospitality leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys opening and stabilizing hotels, and can quickly step into a property and make an immediate impact.
The Task Force General Manager will travel throughout the portfolio to lead new hotel openings, provide interim General Manager coverage during vacancies and vacations, support property transitions, assist underperforming hotels, and provide hands-on operational leadership wherever needed. Assignments may range from several days to several weeks or longer depending on the needs of the property.
As the senior on-property leader during each assignment, the Task Force GM is responsible for all aspects of hotel operations, including guest satisfaction, team leadership and development, financial performance, sales execution, operational standards, and brand compliance. This individual must be equally comfortable developing strategy, reviewing a P&L, training a new leadership team, inspecting guestrooms, resolving guest concerns, and stepping into daily operations when needed.
This role requires exceptional flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice. Candidates must be comfortable spending extended periods away from home and working a schedule that may include weekends, holidays, hotel openings, and other periods dictated by operational needs.
The ideal candidate is a proven hotel operator who is resourceful, decisive, hands-on, and able to quickly assess a property's needs, establish priorities, build relationships with the team, and drive execution. Extended-stay and multi-brand experience, as well as previous hotel opening or task force experience, is strongly preferred.
