Tasting Room Associate

At Williams Gap Vineyard, we believe that wine is more than a beverage, it’s an experience. Nestled in Virginia wine country, our vineyard is dedicated to crafting quality wines and delivering unforgettable hospitality. We are currently seeking two reliable and sales-driven Tasting Associates to join our team.

This position is ideal for someone with a strong service or bar background who is confident working independently in a fast-paced tasting room environment.

Availability Requirements:

• Must have Thursday availability
• Additional availability Friday, Saturday, and Sunday is required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional hospitality and customer service during wine tastings
• Confidently manage bar service independently during shifts
• Actively drive sales through guest engagement, upselling, and wine club enrollment
• Educate guests on our wines, history, and winemaking process (training provided)
• Promote wine club memberships and increase bottle and merchandise sales
• Facilitate sales transactions accurately and efficiently
• Assist with setup, cleanup, and daily maintenance of the tasting room
• Restock wine and merchandise; lift and move boxes up to 50 lbs
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all safety standards

Qualifications:

• Proven ability to drive sales in a service or bar setting
• Strong hospitality or bar experience preferred
• Comfortable working efficiently and independently behind the bar
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Fast-paced, organized, and dependable with a positive attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
• Weekend availability required
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Must complete ABC training and provide certification
