Title: October One Vineyard Tasting Room Associate

October One Vineyard Virginia wine tasting shop is in downtown Leesburg, VA. Our shop features not only October One Vineyard wines, but also other wines grown in Loudoun County and all around the Commonwealth of Virginia.

This is an entrepreneurial and collaborative effort to be a part of the vibrant and ever changing downtown Leesburg environment. Help us increase O1V brand awareness and sales by promoting our 100% estate grown, 100% varietal wine through our unique approach to selling our local, premium, and artisan product.

We are looking for polished, professional individuals who are excited about local products, experiences, and specifically, the Loudoun County and Virginia wine and wine-growing industry. Primary duties will be to familiarize yourself with the company’s mission, vision, and goals, sample and sell wine, and sign customers up for our wine club. You must be able to work within a selection of our open hours Thursday through Sunday. Additional events such as Farm Markets, First Friday events in Leesburg, special tasting events, and wine dinners may also occur.

We are looking for entrepreneurial spirited individuals to help us create and deliver an enjoyable, memorable, and informative experience for those visiting our shop in downtown Leesburg, or at other promotional events.

Other duties include:

Opening and closing duties. Educating customers about our products as well as the local (Loudoun), and Virginia wine industry. Building rapport with customers and other partners. Working closely with owners to conceptualize and implement customer experiences, marketing campaigns, and strategies. Computer skills are necessary to run POS. Maintaining a positive image of the brand at all times. For interested candidates, helping to create website and social media content in order to drive brand awareness and attract new customers.

Tasting Room Associate Requirements:

Prior sales, customer service, or hospitality experience is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Friendly, approachable, and outgoing personality. Able to work in fast paced environment. Working knowledge of web, social media platforms, and tools. Adaptable with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Opportunities to work and participate in vineyard and winery activities to gain first-hand understanding of the process related to our product. Other prerequisites: Must be 21, have a driver’s license, be able to lift 50 pounds regularly .

• $12-15 / hour plus tips (estimated $20-$25 / hr)

Variable shifts, but must also be able to work some Saturday and Sunday hours

Pay: $15.00 - $27.00 per hour
