What they need
Tasting Room Associate
Barons Creek Vineyards
Hourly Pay + Tips + Bonus Opportunities
Love meeting new people? Have a knack for sales and a passion for hospitality? Let’s raise a glass to your next opportunity.
At Barons Creek Vineyards, a great tasting goes beyond what’s in the glass. It’s the warm welcome, the personal connection, and the discovery of a new favorite wine that bring guests back.
We’re looking for outgoing, dependable associates who can deliver exceptional service, confidently recommend wines, and turn a memorable visit into a lasting relationship.
The Role
This is a guest-facing, sales-focused position. You’ll guide tastings, share our story, and help guests find wines they love—while actively selling bottles and introducing the benefits of wine club membership.
You don’t need to arrive as a wine expert. You do need curiosity, initiative, and the confidence to make recommendations and ask for the sale.
What You’ll Do
- Make every guest feel welcome, from the first greeting through checkout.
- Lead engaging wine tastings that are informative, approachable, and fun.
- Learn guests’ preferences and recommend wines to enjoy here and take home.
- Explain wine club benefits clearly and confidently invite guests to join.
- Work toward wine sales and membership goals while delivering attentive, personalized service.
- Handle transactions accurately and keep service moving during busy periods.
- Support special events and high-volume weekends.
- Keep the tasting room clean, stocked, organized, and ready for guests.
- Complete opening, closing, and daily operational tasks.
- Pitch in wherever needed and contribute to a positive, accountable team.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- You connect easily with people and make conversation feel natural.
- You have experience in hospitality, customer service, retail, or sales.
- You’re comfortable recommending products, asking for the sale, and working toward goals.
- You bring a professional appearance, friendly attitude, and dependable work ethic.
- You stay organized and composed while serving multiple guests.
- You welcome feedback and enjoy learning.
- You’re available to work weekends and holidays, as required.
- You can lift and move cases of wine weighing up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodation as applicable.
Wine knowledge is a plus. A willingness to learn and a commitment to great service are essential.
What You’ll Get
- Hourly pay, tips, and bonus opportunities
- Ongoing wine education and hands-on training
- A team that values hospitality, initiative, and shared success
- Opportunities to grow within Barons Creek Vineyards
