Join the Tasting Room Team at Shaw + Smith Winery

Shaw + Smith is looking for passionate hospitality professionals to join our Tasting Room team in the Adelaide Hills.

Set among the vineyards in Balhannah, our Tasting Room is a fast-paced, wine-focused environment with a strong emphasis on genuine hospitality, great service and team culture.

You’ll work alongside a knowledgeable and passionate team, with regular onsite wine education and plenty of opportunity to build your wine knowledge in a hands-on setting. Many of our casual team are studying wine or winemaking, and it’s a social, fun and hardworking place to be.

We’re particularly looking for people with Tuesday, Wednesday and weekend availability. Availability across the busy Christmas and summer period is essential, although we are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

To stay connected with the team, our wines and the way we work, we ask casual team members to be available for a minimum of two shifts per week.

Hospitality experience and an interest in wine are highly regarded, but above all we’re looking for people who are warm, engaged, reliable and genuinely enjoy looking after guests.

About You

• Wine knowledge is a plus; WSET Level 2 preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude
• Impeccable personal presentation
• Availability to work across a rotating roster

Your Role

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences
• Host guided wine flights
• Drive Tasting Room sales
• Assist with food preparation and service
• Provide warm, professional customer service
