Tax Accounting Associate

About the role

Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. is seeking a Tax Accounting Associate to join our dynamic Finance and Accounting team in Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring our company maintains compliance with all tax regulations whilst optimising our tax position. As a Tax Accounting Associate, you will be at the forefront of our tax operations, providing essential support in tax planning, preparation, and compliance activities. This role is integral to supporting our finance function and helping Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. navigate the complex tax landscape efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate tax records, documentation and filings in compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulations
• Assist in the preparation of corporate income tax returns, quarterly tax payments and other statutory tax filings
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations to ensure the company remains compliant with current requirements
• Support the preparation of tax provisions and accruals for financial reporting purposes
• Conduct tax research on complex tax matters and provide recommendations to senior accounting staff
• Reconcile tax accounts and investigate discrepancies between tax records and general ledger accounts
• Assist with tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities
• Maintain organized filing systems for tax documents and ensure proper record retention
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed
• Support tax planning initiatives and identify opportunities for tax efficiency within regulatory guidelines

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• At least 2-3 years of experience in a tax accounting or accounting role

• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations and compliance requirements

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel (including advanced spreadsheet functions)

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax documents and records

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels

• Professional competence and integrity in handling sensitive financial information

• Previous experience with tax compliance in the cosmetics or retail industry would be advantageous
