Tax Assistant

TDS/TCS Compliance

• Compute monthly TDS/TCS liability across salary and non-salary payments
• Pay challans (ITNS 281) on the Income Tax portal by the due dates
• Prepare and file quarterly returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ) using RPU/FVU
• File correction returns and resolve TRACES defaults (short payment, short deduction, late fees, interest)
• Download and issue Form 16 / 16A / 27D
• Verify PAN, lower deduction certificates and applicable rates before deduction
• Reconcile TDS with books, Form 26AS and AIS
• Handle Form 26QB/26QC (property/rent) for individual clients

Accounts & Other Tasks

• Bookkeeping and voucher entry in Tally Prime
• Bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny
• Support GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconciliation (GSTR-2B)
• Assist in statutory and tax audits, and in preparing finalisation schedules
• Maintain compliance calendar and client documentation

Skills Required

• Working knowledge of TDS/TCS provisions, rates and due dates
• Hands-on with Income Tax portal, TRACES, RPU/FVU utilities
• Tally Prime and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
• Accuracy, deadline discipline, and clear client communication

Preferred

• Experience handling TDS for multiple clients at a CA firm
• Awareness of updates under the Income-tax Act, 2025

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
