Tax Compliance Manager

An exciting opportunity is now available for an experienced Tax Compliance Manager to join an international accounting firm in Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and companies
• Lead the preparation and review of current and deferred income tax provisions for corporate taxpayers, ensuring compliance with ASC 740 accounting standards
• Perform a range of tax compliance tasks
• Conduct technical tax research on all areas relating to federal, state, and international taxes
• Coach and mentor tax team members
• Deliver on-time, high-quality services and products that surpass clients' expectations

Skills:

• 5-7 years of tax experience gained working for a public accounting firm
• Knowledge and experience in international tax compliance preferred
• Some income tax return review experience
• A degree or masters in accounting or taxation
• CCH Axcess and/or ProSystem fx Engagement experience
• Ability to train, mentor and coach team members
