Tax Manager

Sierra Executive Solutions, Inc. (SES) is a 3rd party search firm recruiting for a Reno, NV reputable and stable public accounting firm client's Tax Manager CPA career opportunity. The position is vacant due to a tenured employee's retirement. This is an on-site role and not remote nor hybrid, but a very flexible culture that encourages work/life balance more than the stereotypical public accounting firm. Ideal candidate for hire would be a 4-5+ year Sr. Tax Accountant looking to move into management. Local No. NV applicants will be given preference for interview.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• CPA required
• Proven experience as a Tax Accountant, with a strong understanding of tax regulations in areas of personal, entity, trust & estate taxes
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly CCH Tax/ ProSystems
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively
• Broad tax opportunities available
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate effectively with all staff levels
• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks performed

Compensation is competitive, including flex/comp time for excess hours; base salary is competitive depending on experience and qualifications. They offer benefits of health insurance, 401k with match in addition to profit sharing retirement plan

Salary budget is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year, depending on experience (DOE).
