About the Role

This is a remote seasonal tax preparer position in a public accounting firm. You will prepare individual returns (1040) and some small business returns (Schedule C, 1120S, 1065) in Drake Tax & Intuit ProConnect Tax, working from home with daily communication with our review team. All returns are reviewed by a credentialed reviewer before filing. Strong performers are invited back each season, and year round work is possible for the right person as our bookkeeping and business client base grows.

What You Will Do

Prepare federal and state individual returns accurately and efficiently in Drake Tax and Intuit ProConnect Tax. Prepare basic small business returns as experience allows. Communicate with our intake team on missing documents and open questions. Track your work in our workflow system and meet turnaround expectations during peak season. Flag anything unusual for review rather than guessing.

What We Are Looking For

Active PTIN required. 2 or more tax seasons of paid preparation experience. Comfortable preparing at volume, our preparers average 30 to 40 returns per week at peak. Experience with Drake Tax strongly preferred, or proven ability to learn new software quickly. A quiet, secure home work setup and reliable internet. EA or CPA credential is a plus but not required. Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
