Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and organized Taxi Controller to coordinate and manage the daily dispatch operations within our transportation network. In this vital role, you will ensure efficient allocation of taxi services, maintain clear communication with drivers and customers, and oversee the smooth flow of transportation activities. Duties

• Monitor and coordinate the dispatching of taxi services using transportation management systems, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and third-party logistics providers (3PL) via phone, radio, or digital platforms, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
• Utilize systems such as AS400 and SyteLine for data entry, tracking vehicle locations, scheduling shifts, and updating operational records.
• Manage shipping & receiving documentation related to vehicle movements, ensuring accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
• Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain and propose solutions for improved service delivery.
• Maintain detailed logs of dispatch activities, driver assignments, incident reports, and service requests in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize routing plans within a supply chain framework, enhancing overall efficiency.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—to effectively coordinate with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Proficiency in data entry tasks with high attention to detail; typing speed is a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining professionalism through phone etiquette and clear communication.
