TCM Practitioner

Job Purpose

We are seeking a TCM Practitioner to provide safe, effective and patient-centred Traditional & Complementary Medicine (TCM) services. The role involves independently assessing and treating patients, supporting rehabilitation and complex cases, maintaining high standards of clinical care, and contributing to service improvement and evidence-based TCM practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform independent TCM assessments, diagnosis, and treatment in accordance with approved clinical guidelines, privileging, and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Conduct patient screening and refer patients for further investigation or intervention where appropriate.
• Support Senior TCM Practitioners in managing complex cases and advanced procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in developing and implementing appropriate rehabilitation and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation, medical records and case files while ensuring safe, timely and high-quality patient care.
• Manage daily operational activities including appointment coordination, patient screening and billing processes.
• Address patient enquiries and concerns professionally while maintaining a positive patient experience.
• Keep abreast of developments in conventional and complementary medicine and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
• Contribute to service improvement, clinical research and quality initiatives.
• Support the development and promotion of TCM treatment packages, services and wellness programmes.
• Participate in patient education, health talks and wellness activities to increase awareness of TCM and healthy living.
• Share knowledge and provide support to junior team members while working collaboratively within the healthcare team.

What We’re Looking For

A patient-focused TCM Practitioner who demonstrates sound clinical judgement, strong communication skills, professionalism, and a commitment to evidence-based care and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Traditional & Complementary Medicine (TCM) from a recognized institution.
• Registered with a practitioner body recognized by the Traditional and Complementary Medicine Council.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience in TCM, preferably in Chinese Medicine.
• Competent in TCM assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapies such as acupuncture, herbal prescription, tuina, cupping, and moxibustion.
• Able to conduct basic patient screening and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with a patient-centred and compassionate approach.
