In this engaging role, you will be the face of our specialty tea and spice shop, guiding customers through a rich selection of aromatic teas and vibrant spices. Your energy and passion will inspire customers to explore new flavors, while your personality help create memorable shopping experiences.

Hiring seasonal/part-time help, Monday- Friday, open availability is preferred.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance to enhance their shopping experience
• Assist customers with selecting products based on their preferences and needs, upselling where appropriate
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays through effective merchandising and stock replenishment
• Refilling the bagged consumables on the floor as they are sold
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling
• Uphold excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely, ensuring clear communication
• Support store cleanliness and organization to create an inviting and safe environment for shoppers
• This is a food establishment with allergens. Maintaining strict cleanliness is a must

Skills

• Experience preferred with POS systems, cashiering, and retail sales processes
• Supervising experience preferred, with the ability to guide team members when needed
• Proven record of accountability, job-stability, and relieable
• Works well under pressure and able to stand for full shift
• Strong communication, including inter-personal skills and eye-contact is a must
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Skilled in merchandising is a plus
• Works well alone and/or with a team
• Excellent phone etiquette coupled with customer service expertise to handle inquiries professionally
• Past barista experience a plus as we do have a Tea Bar
