About the Role

Tech Lead – Software Development
Responsible for leading and overseeing cross-functional teams including Software Engineers, DevOps, Cloud Engineers, System Analysts, and UX/UI to deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions for the Core Retail business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a large-scale engineering team within a cross-functional environment to ensure projects and solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
• Establish and oversee engineering standards for high-scale, resilient, and cost-efficient systems, ensuring consistent alignment with technology roadmaps, industry best practices, and organizational standards.
• Drive strategic workforce planning and talent development to ensure team capabilities are aligned with evolving business requirements within the Retail Technology sector.
• Manage vendor relationships and monitor vendor performance to ensure solution delivery meets required IT standards, quality expectations, and SLAs.
• Oversee and optimize software development and outsourcing budgets, identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency in alignment with IT financial strategies and resource optimization.
• Lead, guide, and mentor engineering teams in adopting AI-SDLC to improve productivity and enhance efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle.

About You

• Minimum 3 years of experience in people management, particularly within software development or solution delivery environments.
• Strong understanding and experience in implementing Agile methodologies across large-scale software development teams, ideally involving 10–20 squads.
• Familiar with multiple modern programming languages and technologies, including Java, Golang, and Node.js, with a good understanding of both Frontend and Backend technologies.
• Good knowledge of modern software architecture, including Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture, and Enterprise Architecture.
• Confident in communicating and presenting with executive-level stakeholders and senior leadership.
