Responsibilities

• Assist classroom teachers with daily instructional activities, including literacy and math lessons, to support student learning.
• Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Support students with disabilities or special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting learning materials as needed.
• Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques aligned with educational compliance standards such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
• Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for students.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavioral updates.
• Collaborate with teachers on lesson planning, classroom organization, and student assessments to promote a cohesive educational approach.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and classroom management strategies.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is advantageous.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom behavior management tools.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable to ensure student safety at all times.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, teachers, and school staff. Willing to provide training if needed.
• Experience working within private schools or Montessori environments is a plus but not required.
