Blomfield School Teacher Aide Positions, Mid-North

A number of permanent, part-time (26hrs) positions available in the Mid-North, starting Term 1, 2027. These will be based atthe new Blomfield Unit, at Bay of Islands College, Kawakawa, or at our Oromahoe School unit.

About us: We serve students aged 5-21 and are dedicated to enhancing student achievement. We have a central campus and satellite units in Whangarei, and further north, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for both students and staff.

We are seeking team players who are enthusiastic, vibrant and inspiring and are committed to raising student achievement. Experience working with students with disabilities is a definite advantage, as is a full licence and ability to drive a van.

 If you:

• Are interested in supporting programmes for students with learning and physical disabilities
• Are someone who is patient, motivated, honest, and a great team player who can also develop trusting relationships with students
• Are someone who can follow instructions from the teacher, and use initiative where appropriate
• Can engage in Health & PE activities, including water-based
• Are able to support students with personal care
• Are capable of supporting students with Maths and Literacy activities, under teacher guidance
• Are punctual and reliable with attendance
• Have respect for Te Ao Maori, and diverse communities.

Teacher Aides are paid on the rates in the Support Staff Collective Agreement. Grade BC $27.25 – $34.06 per hour

 A NZ Police Vet is mandatory.

An Overseas Police certificate is also required if you have lived in the same overseas country for a total of 12 months or more at any time since the age of 16.
