Duties

• Assist classroom teachers with lesson implementation, including preparing materials and setting up activities aligned with curriculum standards.
• Support students’ individual learning needs by providing targeted assistance in literacy, math, and other core subjects.
• Help manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies, fostering a safe and respectful environment.
• Supervise children during transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure safety and engagement.
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and working with specialists when necessary.
• Aid in early childhood education practices such as toddler care, preschool activities, Montessori methods, or childcare routines.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop or adapt lesson plans for diverse learners, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
• Maintain open communication with teachers and parents regarding student progress and behavioral observations.

Skills

• Strong understanding of childhood development principles and early childhood education techniques.
• Experience working with children in classroom settings, daycare centers, or private schools is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of curriculum development across subjects such as literacy education, math, and behavior management strategies.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs using inclusive teaching practices.
• Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Classroom management skills to maintain an organized, respectful environment conducive to learning.
• Familiarity with teaching methodologies such as Montessori or preschool education approaches is a plus.
