Teacher Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support our educators in providing a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children ages 3-12. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young learners, including toddlers and children with special needs, and will assist in implementing educational programs that promote growth and development. This role is essential in fostering a positive classroom atmosphere where every child can thrive.

Duties

• Assist the lead teacher in daily classroom activities and lesson plans.
• Provide care and supervision for toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Support children’s learning through individualized attention and encouragement.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among students.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Engage with children during playtime, fostering social skills and creativity.
• Assist with special education needs as required, adapting activities to meet diverse learning styles.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Experience

• Previous experience in caregiving or toddler care is preferred.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and educational practices.
• Experience working with children, particularly in daycare or educational settings.
• Knowledge of first aid procedures is a plus.
• Background in special education or behavior management is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members.
