Teacher Assistant

Support in Class

Main Responsibilities

• Help the teacher run daily lessons and activities.
• Guide children in small groups or one-on-one when they need extra help.
• Prepare learning materials and keep the classroom neat and welcoming.

Care for Children

• Encourage children in their learning, play, and social interactions.
• Assist children with basic needs (e.g., meals, toileting, dressing) if required.
• Notice and share any changes or progress in the child’s learning or behavior.

Keep Children Safe

• Watch over children during class, play, mealtime, and outings.
• Make sure the classroom and play areas are safe and clean.
• Follow the school’s health, hygiene, and safety guidelines.

Work as a Team

• Cooperate closely with teachers and therapists to support each child’s needs.
• Communicate kindly and clearly with staff, parents (when needed), and children.
• Join team meetings, training, and school events.
