Teacher Assistant/Tutor

Duties:

• Provide homework assistance to a small group of students in all school subjects (math, reading, comprehension; and some science, social studies to elementary school students)
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with manager to provide updates on student progress and ensure student growth.
• Collaborate with other educators and tutors to support students with learning challenges.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active learning.

Experience:

• Previous experience working with children or students in an educational setting is preferred, but NOT required.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is preferred, but NOT required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
• Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning and record keeping.

AVAILABILITY:

• MUST BE AVAILABLE BETWEEN 2:45-5:00PM MONDAY - THURSDAY. FRIDAY SCHEDULES ARE TENTATIVE AND FLEXIBLE.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.50 per hour
