Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Teacher Associate to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will work closely with lead teachers to implement engaging educational activities, support classroom management, and foster a nurturing environment for young learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help lay the foundation for children's future success while collaborating with families and staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional development
• Support classroom behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and safe learning environments
• Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest periods to ensure safety and well-being
• Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for children
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and behavioral observations in compliance with educational regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop individualized plans for children with disabilities or special needs, including those on the autism spectrum or requiring additional support

Qualifications:

• High School diploma required; AA in ECE or related field preferred.
• Experience working with children ages 3-5 in a classroom setting preferred.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with young children in classroom settings or early childhood education programs
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies
• Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Ability to supervise children safely while maintaining a positive and nurturing environment
• Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support learning activities
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Understanding of educational compliance standards such as the ESSA and familiarity with Montessori or other early childhood curricula is a plus

Pay: $15.10 - $17.92 per hour
