Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate educational activities and experiences that align with early childhood curriculum frameworks
• Observe, assess, and document children's development, progress, and learning outcomes using appropriate observation and assessment tools
• Create and maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and play-based learning
• Support children's emotional and social development by building positive relationships, managing behaviour, and promoting emotional regulation
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, development, and any concerns or milestones achieved
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent care practices, share best practices, and support each other's professional development
• Implement health, safety, and hygiene protocols in accordance with regulatory requirements and centre policies
• Assist with routines such as feeding, toileting, and rest times, ensuring children's physical needs are met with care and sensitivity
• Participate in professional development activities, training sessions, and staff meetings to stay current with best practices in early childhood education
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all centre policies and procedures

What we're looking for

• A recognised early childhood education qualification or teaching certification relevant to early childhood care and education
• Proven experience working with young children in an early childhood education or care setting
• Strong knowledge of child development, play-based learning, and age-appropriate teaching strategies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, compassion, and genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
• Ability to create inclusive, safe, and stimulating learning environments
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to the needs and interests of individual children
• A background check and immunisation records as required by local regulations
