Katie’s Kids Learning Center is looking for a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Preschool Teacher to join our team!

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and wants to create a classroom where children feel safe, loved, supported, and excited to learn. Our program is play-based and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, allowing teachers to follow children’s interests, encourage curiosity, and create meaningful learning experiences through play.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children
• Plan and implement age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Build positive and trusting relationships with children and families
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom
• Follow classroom routines, center policies, and state licensing requirements
• Observe children and use their interests and development to guide curriculum
• Communicate professionally and positively with families and coworkers
• Maintain accurate classroom documentation and daily records
• Actively supervise children and maintain appropriate ratios at all times
• Work collaboratively with co-teachers and support staff
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and required trainings
• Help create a positive team environment and contribute to the overall success of the center

• Ability to take direction and follow center policies
• Someone who is creative and enjoys learning through play
• Previous childcare or preschool experience preferred
• Early childhood education coursework or credentials preferred, but not required depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.25 - $18.50 per hour
