Special Education Teacher / Resource Teacher Roles – Up to $60/Hour

About the Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and passionate Special Education Teachers and Resource Teachers for full-time, onsite opportunities with a supportive school team in the south suburbs of Chicago.

We have openings supporting both elementary and middle school students, with responsibilities varying based on the classroom and assignment. This is a great opportunity for educators who enjoy working with smaller groups of students, providing individualized instruction, and collaborating with other school professionals.

Position Overview

Depending on experience and placement, responsibilities may include:

• Providing specialized instruction in a resource setting or self-contained classroom.
• Supporting students at the elementary or middle school level.
• Working with a manageable caseload of approximately 20 students, depending on assignment.
• Delivering individualized and small-group instruction based on students' academic and developmental needs.
• Providing push-in and pull-out services, as appropriate.
• Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborating with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administrators.
• Monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction to support individual learning goals.
• Participating in IEP meetings and communicating with families and school teams.

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate Special Education / LBS1 endorsement.
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs.
• Familiarity with IEP development, accommodations, modifications, and progress monitoring.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
• Experience in resource or self-contained special education settings preferred.
