Schedule: Thursdays & Fridays, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Wage: $25.00 / hour

Buxmont Academy is a Pennsylvania licensed private academic school operating six campuses across southeastern PA. We utilize restorative practices to help at-risk students grow both academically and emotionally. Our classrooms are intentionally small, featuring a low teacher-to-student ratio where staff collaborate closely as a unified educational team for every student.

The Role

Are you an experienced, dedicated, and caring health & PE teacher who thrives on helping at-risk youth? Do you possess exceptional classroom management skills and a passion for continuous learning?

As our part-time Health & PE Teacher, you will design and adapt engaging lessons to meet the developmental needs of students grades 7 through 12, fostering a positive, safe, and supportive environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health & Physical Education or a related field.
• Certification: PA Teaching Certification, or the ability to obtain a private teaching certification.
• Experience: Prior experience teaching secondary school-aged students.
• Skills: Strong ability to adapt lessons and activities to diverse developmental statuses.
• Temperament: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism, poise, and tact in high-stress situations.
