Qualifications:

Applicants should demonstrate a genuine relationship with Christ and a pedagogy that reflects a biblical worldview. To be considered for the role, candidates should possess relational attributes, strong classroom management skills, and a passion for pursuing Christ. Teachers should hold—or be in the process of acquiring—a valid BC Teaching Certificate.

Duties

• Deliver high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards across different subjects and grade levels.
• Support students’ individual learning needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, participation, and respect.
• Collaborate with full-time teachers and staff to implement lesson plans and adapt teaching strategies as needed.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a safe and focused learning space.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Assist with classroom setup, materials preparation, and maintaining an organized learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
• Classroom experience demonstrating effective teaching practices.
• Strong communication skills to clearly convey concepts and collaborate with colleagues.
• Knowledge of special education strategies and experience working with individuals with disabilities.
• Background in early childhood education or relevant teaching certification preferred.
• Proficiency in teaching subjects such as math or other core academic areas is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and student needs.
