Teacher / Trainer

We’re Hiring: Full Time Teacher / Trainer (Immediate Vacancy)

We have newly opened our education center in Navinna, Maharagama, and we are looking for a passionate teacher to join our growing team full time. This is an immediate vacancy, so candidates who can join soon will be given priority.

About the role

You will teach our own English language curriculum to adult students, most of whom are working professionals preparing to study or migrate abroad. Sessions are mainly explained in Sinhala, while the lesson content itself is in English. We will fully train you on our curriculum and teaching system, so no prior experience in this area is needed.

Your main responsibilities

• Conducting sessions for small groups and individual students

• Checking student tasks and giving evaluations and feedback

• Monitoring student progress and giving feedback daily

• Guiding and supporting students throughout their course

What we look for

• Good teaching skills, especially the ability to teach and motivate adults

• Ability to explain lessons clearly in Sinhala

• Good spoken and written English

• A friendly, patient and professional attitude

• Willingness to learn and follow a structured teaching system

Ability to travel daily to Navinna, Maharagama

Working hours

Weekdays: 4 days, 9am to 6pm (one weekday off each week)

Saturday: 9am to 5pm

Sunday: 9am to 1pm

Alternative arrangements can be discussed, and once rosters are in place the schedule can be adjusted.

Terms

1 year contract with a 6 month probation period.

Successful trainers will be absorbed into the permanent staff after the contract period.

Salary: LKR 60,000 to 80,000 during probation, depending on experience.
