About This Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and nurturing Preschool Teacher to lead and engage children in our three- and four-year-old classroom at Pre-K Preparatory Learning Academy.

This is an active teaching position for someone who enjoys helping young children learn, explore, build confidence, and prepare for their next stage of learning. Our teacher will create meaningful learning experiences through hands-on activities, STEAM, literacy, music and movement, outdoor learning, social-emotional development, and purposeful play.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging classroom while providing consistent routines, positive guidance, and age-appropriate instruction.

We are looking for someone who can bring energy and creativity into the classroom while also providing the structure preschoolers need. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, organized, comfortable managing a classroom, and genuinely excited about helping young children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

  • Work cooperatively with the Lead Teacher, floaters, administration, and other members of the center team
  • Participate in family activities, special programs, classroom celebrations, and center-wide events
  • Follow all center policies and applicable childcare health, safety, supervision, and licensing requirements
  • Participate in required training, staff meetings, and professional development
  • Bring patience, dependability, energy, teamwork, and a genuine love for working with young children every day

  • Must be able to follow lesson plans, classroom routines, and directions from the Lead Teacher and administration
  • Must be able to use positive guidance and appropriate classroom-management techniques
  • Must be comfortable assisting children with toileting and other personal-care needs when necessary
  • Must be physically able to sit on the floor, bend, kneel, stand, walk, and actively engage with children throughout the workday
