Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher’s Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment for young children. Duties

• Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, including lesson implementation and child supervision
• Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through engaging interactions and guidance
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in compliance with health and safety standards
• Implement child development instruction techniques tailored to individual needs, including those with disabilities or special education requirements
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and needs
• Support classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and learning engagement
• Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic childcare routines for infants and toddlers when necessary
• Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with state regulations
• Participate in ongoing training on first aid, pediatric first aid, CPR, childhood development, and behavior management

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
• Knowledge of child development instruction and early childhood education principles
• Familiarity with special education needs and working with individuals with disabilities
• Child supervision skills combined with patience and a nurturing attitude
• Strong classroom management abilities to foster a positive learning environment
• Experience with childcare routines such as infant care, toddler care, babysitting or nannying is highly valued
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children of diverse backgrounds
• Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid or related safety training preferred but not required initially; training provided if needed
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
