Teaching Assistant

Leader Education are recruiting Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Dudley and the surrounding areas. We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable and caring individuals who are interested in supporting children and young people within education.

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant is not always essential. We welcome applications from people who have experience working with children or young people in schools, care, youth work, sports coaching, support work or similar environments.

This is a great opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants as well as individuals looking to build their experience and develop a career within education.

The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers and school staff to help pupils engage with learning and get the most from their education.

Your Responsibilities May Include

• Supporting pupils within the classroom.
• Working with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups.
• Helping pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
• Supporting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and school routines.
• Supporting pupils who may have SEND, learning difficulties or SEMH needs.
• Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
