What they need

We are seeking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our supportive, hardworking and successful team at Morley Meadow Primary and Nursery School.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school where children are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud that our recent Ofsted inspection recognised Morley Meadow as meeting the Strong Standard in all areas of the new Ofsted framework, reflecting our commitment to providing an exceptional education, a highly inclusive culture and the very best outcomes for all pupils.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of working with children in the primary phase.
  • Is self-motivated, flexible, resilient and enjoys working as part of a team.
  • Can use their initiative and adapt provision to meet the needs of individual children.
  • Is an effective communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • Is dynamic, resilient and hardworking, with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Has experience of delivering interventions and can help create a purposeful and engaging learning environment.
  • Has high expectations for all pupils and a strong understanding of behaviour, using a trauma-informed and relational approach.
  • Has experience of supporting children with SEND (desirable).
  • Shares our commitment to inclusion, belonging and ensuring every child can thrive and succeed.

In return, we offer:

  • Enthusiastic children who are eager to learn.
  • A welcoming and supportive staff team committed to professional development.
  • A strong culture of collaboration, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • The opportunity to work in a school recognised as achieving the Strong Standard in all areas of the new Ofsted framework.
  • Access to high-quality training and development through WeST.

If you are passionate about making a difference to children's lives and would like to be part of our ambitious and caring school community, we would love to hear from you.

Applicants must have Grade C or equivalent in English and Maths GCSE and preferably an NVQ3, or equivalent TA qualification.

If you would like to discuss the role with the Headteacher or arrange to visit the school, please contact the school office on 01752 401293 or email [email protected]

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
