Job Family grade PCD5, SCP6: £26,847 FTE (pro rata: £21,746)

The Lakes School is seeking to employ a permanent Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated Student Development Team as soon as possible. The successful candidate will make a significant contribution to the wider pastoral curriculum available to our SEND students and other students who require support but may not have an EHCP. Experience in delivery of entry level qualifications, alternative provision, learning through the outdoor environment and leadership opportunities is desirable.

The ability to build resilience, confidence and emotional intelligence in young people is essential, as is a sound understanding of the specific needs and barriers for SEND children. If you believe that SEND children should access a balance of academic support and personal development programmes, then this could be the post for you.

The successful candidate will be required to work 1 to 1 and with small groups and to deliver a variety of programmes across four key areas including English and Maths, specific targeted interventions, developing social & emotional aspects and building resilience & confidence.
