TEACHING ASSISTANT-EARLY YEARS

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at an international school, supporting children aged 1 to 5 years.

This is a temporary position to cover an absence, with the possibility of an extension depending on the duration of the absence. We are open to candidates seeking either a part-time morning position or a full-time role.

The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment where young children can develop their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills. Working closely with the class teacher, you will help deliver engaging activities and support each child's individual learning journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in the daily running of the classroom.
• Assist with the planning and delivery of age-appropriate educational and creative activities.
• Provide individual attention and support to children according to their developmental needs.
• Encourage children's independence, confidence, and social skills.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment.
• Support children with daily routines, including meals, personal hygiene, and rest times, when required.
• Promote positive behaviour and respectful relationships.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Follow the school's safeguarding, health, and safety policies.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with young children, ideally aged 1–5 years.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and child development.
• A caring, patient, proactive, and positive attitude.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or above), with excellent spoken and written communication skills.
• Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or a related field are desirable.
• Experience in an international or multilingual school environment is an advantage.
