Duties

• Adapt methods and materials to meet diverse student needs, including those with disabilities or requiring additional support
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages active participation, respect, and collaboration among students
• Manage classroom behavior effectively while maintaining a safe and inclusive space for all learners
• Implement individualized education plan (IEPs) directives for students with special needs
• Support students’ social-emotional development through nurturing interactions and appropriate guidance

Qualifications

• A diploma or other certification in Educational Assistance or a related field
• Classroom experience in early childhood education or K-12 environments preferred
• Strong teaching skills with the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learners
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of special education practices and accommodations for students with disabilities
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
