Teaching Assistant: Primary (Dusit Campus)

About the role

St. Andrews International School is looking for a Teaching Assistant (Primary) who will assist with the implementation of the school's key strategic project, working with students in school and supporting them in lessons. You will provide support to the Department for events, and facilitate a variety of extra-curricular activities and sports teams, in order to increase the opportunity for high achievement and memorable moments for students.

Key responsibilities

• Work in class, alongside the teacher and other teaching assistants supporting children with learning tasks throughout the school day
• Work with Teacher to provide meaningful assistance during lessons
• Work with groups of children in classes
• Audit and maintain equipment to a suitable standard for teaching
• Tidy and organize rooms
• Organize material and extra items for class
• Set up lesson areas in advance of teaching
• Assist in establishing and maintaining standards of student behavior
• Provide assistance to children as necessary
• Assist in implementing all policies and rules governing student life and conduct

About you

• Minimum of 1 year's experience working in this or similar position, preferably in an international school environment
• Qualified to work with and teach students
• Highly committed to the vision of the department
• Proactive with the ability to think on your feet
• Flexible, in terms of working out of hours or extra hours for events after school and weekends
• Friendly and able to fit into a team
• Ability to motivate students and work with them to get the best from them
• ICT efficient, particularly concerning Excel
