Teaching Assistant (Work Experience)

As a tutor and mentor with Scholars of Oakville Joshua Creek, you will be responsible to provide superior individualized academic support to students. You are joining a dynamic team who want you to make a difference for each student who you have the opportunity of working with!

Essential Job Functions

• Instruct / teach students from JK to Grade. 12 for French / English / Math / Science/ Chemistry / Biology
• Accurately provide reporting regarding student progress as required
• Prepare teaching materials / student's folders for each student as per the Scholars guideline when required

Must Have Requirements:

• Ontario certified teacher and/or University degree in Math, Science or Engineering program
• Past French / English / Math /Science/Chemistry / Biology teaching experience
• Available Monday to Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm
• Strong communication skills and multitasking abilities
• Experience with students in a teaching or tutoring environment
• Excellent organizational skills

Work Location: In person

Experience:

• French / English/Math/Science/Chemistry / Biology Teaching: 2 years (Must)
• Teaching Elementary / Middle /High School Students: 2 Years (Must)

Interview Process:

• First round telephonic interview
• Second round in person Interview

Job Types: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 to 10 hours per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 4 pm to 8 pm
• Saturday: 9 am to 1 pm
