Ko wai mātou - About us

Kia ora. We're Foodies.

You know New World, PAK'nSAVE and Four Square, right? That's us! With 300+ stores and over 27,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Māui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life. Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve and celebrate our people, our taonga, every day for being uniquely them.

Te Tūranga - About the role

Due to internal movement, we're looking for an exceptional Team Coordinator to become the backbone of our Retail team.

Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the CRO (Chief Retail Officer), you'll provide high-quality administrative and coordination support across the business unit of Retail and to the EA, ensuring priorities stay on track and stakeholders feel supported.

You'll also act as a key delegate and trusted representative when the EA is away, helping to ensure business continuity and providing confidence that day-to-day activities remain on track.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating reports, presentations, board papers and business documentation.
  • Managing meetings, calendars, events and team activities.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases and administrative systems.
  • Supporting team communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Managing priorities and ensuring actions are completed on time.
  • Proactively identifying issues, following up actions and keeping work moving.
  • Providing support across the Retail function and Leadership Team.

This is predominantly an office-based role, with flexibility to work from home depending on business needs, judged on a week-to-week basis.

He kōrero mōu - About you

This is a role for a genuine administration professional. Someone who takes pride in being highly organised, detail-oriented, proactive, reliable and with excellent communication skills. You love administration, thrive on coordination, and genuinely enjoy being the person who keeps everything running smoothly.

While you'll be part of a collaborative and supportive team, this role will particularly suit someone who enjoys working autonomously. You'll be trusted to manage your own workload, identify priorities, anticipate needs and take action without waiting for direction. You'll be someone who naturally takes ownership, keeps things moving and proactively looks for ways to support the team and improve how things are done.

You'll bring:

  • Proven experience in a Team Coordinator, Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or senior administration role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • A positive, approachable and can-do attitude that contributes positively to our team culture
  • Reliability, professionalism and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work on time.
