Role & responsibilities

• 6 TO 7 years of expertise in U.S. Individual Income Tax Returns, including Forms 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR.
• Minimum 2 years of team management/team-handling experience, with strong people management and leadership skills.
• Strong experience in reviewing tax returns, handling complex tax queries, supporting team members, and ensuring process accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of U.S. Tax professionals handling Individual Income Tax Returns.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, quality, accuracy, and compliance against defined targets.
• Review and support the preparation of U.S. Individual Tax Returns Forms 1040, 1040-NR, and 1040-SR.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on complex U.S. tax-related matters.
• Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to applicable U.S. tax laws, regulations, and company processes.
• Identify errors and provide constructive feedback and coaching to improve team performance.
• Handle escalations and resolve complex tax-related issues effectively.
• Ensure timely completion of work within defined TAT, SLA, productivity, and quality standards.
• Monitor the work quality of preparers and junior team members.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, team meetings, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Identify training requirements and support the development of team members.
• Collaborate with managers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth process operations.
• Maintain a strong customer-service and compliance-first mindset.
