Team Lead

Town House Specialty Cleaning Co. is seeking a dependable, flexible, and hands-on Evening Team Lead to support our commercial cleaning operations throughout New York City.

This position involves traveling between client locations to train new employees, provide cleaning coverage, oversee special projects, and ensure our cleaning standards are consistently met.

The ideal candidate is friendly, approachable, and comfortable working with different personalities while maintaining accountability and high performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel between commercial office buildings throughout NYC to support daily operations.

• Train and coach new hires on cleaning procedures, safety practices, and client expectations.

• Provide hands-on cleaning coverage for employee absences, vacancies, and other operational needs.

• Oversee special cleaning projects, inspect completed work, and ensure quality standards are met.

• Monitor employee performance and provide constructive feedback and retraining when needed.

• Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, and company standards while maintaining a respectful and supportive approach.

• Communicate staffing concerns, client requests, and operational issues to the Operations Supervisor.

• Assist with cleaning duties, equipment operation, and other assignments as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.
• Previous commercial cleaning or janitorial experience required.
• Prior Team Lead, training, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly, professional, and approachable personality.
• Ability to lead by example, motivate employees, and address performance concerns.
• Reliable, organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
• Must be comfortable traveling between multiple NYC locations during the shift.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safety standards.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning duties, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

Schedule & Flexibility

• Primary Shift: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM.
• We aim to maintain a consistent schedule; however, flexibility is essential.
• Work locations, hours, and assignments may change based on operational needs.
• Must be available to work weekends when necessary, based on operational and staffing needs.
• Must be willing to work additional hours or adjust schedules as needed.
