As a Shift Lead, you’ll help direct an efficient workflow, support store operations, and serve as the go‑to leader when the Store Leader is away. You’ll be a role model for baristas, a champion of Amazing customer experiences, and a key player in driving store profitability. If you love people, coffee, and leadership — this is your moment.

What You’ll Do

Lead the Customer Experience

• Ensure every guest receives a consistent, quality experience
• Execute brand recipes and techniques with precision
• Resolve customer concerns with positivity and professionalism
• Lead your team in delivering an Amazing experience every time

Keep the Store Running Smoothly

• Maintain speed of service during high‑volume peaks
• Stay calm, anticipate guest needs, and manage workflow efficiently
• Use downtime wisely to prep for the next rush

Train & Develop Your Team

• Assist the Store Leader with onboarding and training new team members
• Build strong working relationships with the team
• Identify motivation factors and provide clear, constructive feedback
• Reinforce performance standards set by Hart Family Coffee

Drive Sales & Profitability

• Seek opportunities to increase sales through consistent upselling
• Hold baristas accountable to upselling standards
• Understand key store metrics and help improve overall performance

Operational Expertise

• Be the subject matter expert in:
• • Cash handling
  • POS system
  • Operational procedures
  • Health & sanitation standards
  • Store business metrics
• Serve as a keyholder and master all opening/closing procedures
• Ensure all team members follow Hart Family Coffee procedures and safety guidelines

Support Store Leadership

• Help find coverage for open shifts
• Assist with administrative duties as requested
• Communicate business health clearly to the team

Qualifications

• Available for 25+ hours per week
• Passion for people and leadership
• Willingness to master brand recipes and techniques
• Strong communication and teaching skills
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
