Team Leader - Accounts Payable

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader - Accounts Payable to oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable and Banking operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys balancing operational excellence with continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.

The Opportunity Reporting to the Finance leadership team, you will provide operational oversight of Accounts Payable and Banking functions, ensuring timely, accurate and customer-focused service delivery. You will also play a key role in reviewing, documenting and improving financial processes.

Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Banking Operations

• Lead, mentor and support a small team of two finance professionals.
• Oversee daily Accounts Payable, Banking, Purchase Card and Receipting activities.
• Review work outputs and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and service standards.
• Resolve complex Accounts Payable and Banking enquiries.
• Manage escalations relating to purchase cards and invoice processing.
• Monitor workloads, work queues and competing priorities to ensure operational deadlines are achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.

About you

• Demonstrated experience leading or supervising finance staff.
• Strong Accounts Payable and Banking operational experience.
• Experience managing escalations and resolving complex transactional issues.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing operational demands.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement.
• Experience using Basware.
• Experience with EMS (ANZ Purchase Cards).
• South Australian Government or Shared Services SA experience.

 Must have wwcc and police clearances.
