Job Summary

Responsible for developing and growing the business portfolio of the assigned team or unit, and in implementing processes and procedures relation to sales, client servicing, and collections. Also responsible for ensuring that bank interests (financial or reputational) are likewise well-protected.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development and Account Maintenance

• Responsible for delivering the premium and commission budget for his or her assigned team or unit while keeping within the operating expense budget as well as in alignment with company rules and regulations.
• Communicates regularly with Commercial Bank Group (Combank) counterparts and other bank units to formulate, agree and implement sales strategies, and satisfy client servicing requirements.
• Maximizes the business relationship with bank counterparts and clients by assessing accounts and identifying opportunities for new business and organic growth, and cross-selling other insurance products to address client's needs, contribute to production and grow the existing business portfolio.
• Strengthens business relationships with clients by constant communication (i.e. providing market updates, disaster alerts), visits and providing the highest level of customer service.
• Conducts product presentations or orientation on topics ranging from insurance coverage to claims handling for client or bank counterparts.

Account Administration (Quotation, Proposal, Placements, Collections, Claims)

• Leads in negotiations with insurance companies and other BDOI units (i.e. TSU) for the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit the needs of the client (when applicable or necessary).
• Ensures that standard documentation such as renewal advice, quotation slip, proposal form, placement slip, cover notes, SOA’s, policies and endorsements are reviewed, prepared correctly and sent out to appropriate parties in a timely manner.

Reportorial and Administrative Requirements

• Ensures submission of regular Mancom and internal (Combank) reports on a regular basis.
• Ensures the good order of files and policy documents (soft and hard copies, when possible) for proper organization and easy reference.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior or senior management from time to time.

Training and Career Development

• Ensures continuous personal capability development by participating in both in-house and external trainings / projects.
• Motivates, coaches and counsels team members in aid of meeting the budgets, improving and sustaining high work quality.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree Holder
2. At least 5-7 years experience in account management, preferably as a Team Leader, Account/Sales Manager or Account/Sales Officer in a non-life brokerage company or agency
3. Speaks and writes fluent English and Filipino (preferably speaks fluent Chinese – Mandarin and/or Fukien)
4. Strategic thinking, managerial, communication, negotiation and customer service skills
5. Analytical, systematic, can work under pressure, can work with minimum supervision, coordination/interpersonal skills.
