  • Drive a strong safety-first mindset, ensuring full compliance with company Health & Safety policies and Zero Harm objectives.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational performance of the field engineering team, ensuring service delivery commitments are achieved.
  • Oversee resource planning, engineer utilisation, work allocation, and emergency response activities.

  • Monitor and improve key operational metrics including productivity, service quality, response times, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with Service Coordinators, Operations Managers, Sales Teams, and Technical Specialists to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as an escalation point for service and operational matters.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing technical development of service personnel.
  • Identify opportunities for service growth, equipment upgrades, lifecycle replacement projects, and additional customer support offerings.
  • Ensure accurate completion of service documentation, compliance records, and reporting requirements.

How You Will Do It

  • Provide visible leadership through regular field engagement, site visits, safety observations, and customer meetings.
  • Create a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Balance customer expectations, commercial objectives, and resource availability to achieve business targets.
  • Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, training plans, and technical support.
  • Collaborate closely with technical specialists and factory support teams to resolve complex equipment and customer challenges.
  • Drive service excellence through effective planning, communication, and performance management.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and implement corrective actions where performance improvements are required.
  • Promote proactive customer engagement and ensure a consistently high standard of service delivery.

What We Look For

  • Previous experience leading or supervising field-based engineering or service teams.
  • Strong technical background within HVAC, refrigeration, chillers, heat pumps, or industrial cooling systems.
  • Proven experience supporting maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills.
  • Experience managing customer relationships within pharmaceutical, life sciences, manufacturing, healthcare, data centre, or similar environments.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple operational demands in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of service delivery performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements associated with field service operations.

Highly Advantageous

  • Experience managing teams supporting YORK, Sabroe, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, or similar chiller technologies.
  • Previous experience within pharmaceutical, life sciences, semiconductor, or mission-critical environments.
  • Refrigeration qualification, F-GAS certification, electrical trade qualification, mechanical qualification, or engineering degree.
  • Experience with field service management systems, workforce planning, and operational reporting.
  • Knowledge of industrial refrigeration and ammonia systems.
  • Proven experience driving operational improvements and service business growth.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary and management bonus opportunities.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including pension, health insurance, and life assurance.
  • Company vehicle, phone, laptop, and business tools.
  • Career progression opportunities within a global industry leader.
  • Extensive technical, leadership, and management training.
  • Opportunity to lead a highly skilled technical team supporting critical customer operations.
  • Collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • A strong commitment to employee wellbeing and development.
  • Dedication to safety through our Zero Harm culture.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced service leader to take ownership of a highly skilled team of Chiller Service Engineers, driving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, technical development, and business growth across some of Ireland's most strategic industrial and commercial customers.
